about the artist

Born 1943 at Sydney, New South Wales. Australia.

I arrived in London in 1968 having graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1966 with an ordinary degree and honours in history. After university, I had studied briefly in Melbourne with Louis Kahan, an artist who offered me great encouragement.

I participated in occasional drawing and painting classes in London whilst working in publishing and began my art career with a first prize in 1975 in the Tia Maria art award (for watercolour & drawing). Later prizes included being selected for the inaugural Hunting Prize exhibition.

I have exhibited my work in the UK, Australia, Western Europe and the USA.

Work may be seen at the Open Eye Gallery, Edinburgh.
